Her name is Emma and she’s not doing very well. She’s forced to go to a rehab center, where the first step is to admit that she has a problem. According to her, however, the problem isn’t her, but everyone and everything around her.
She is asked to tell the truth, but she is smart enough to know that there is no single truth. When drunkenness and drug use seem to be her only way to survive in the modern world, how can she choose sobriety?
People, Places & Things is one of the most important contemporary British plays. It premiered in 2015 at the National Theatre of England and has enjoyed enormous international success, performing on many stages in Europe and beyond.

George Koutlis directs a troupe of nine actors and dancers on a hilarious rollercoaster ride through human nature, navigating between reality, illusion and theatre. Through one woman’s struggle against addiction, he explores intergenerational trauma, the need for compassion and, above all, the human need for connection.
Mary Mina returns to the role of Emma – a landmark role in her career, for the performance of which she stood out and was awarded – having at her side, in the role of Doctor/Therapist/Mother, the great Maria Protopappa.
