Every Year After: The New Romance Prime Video Is Betting Big On

Prime Video is doubling down on its YA era with Every Year After, the adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestseller Every Summer After. The series drops June 10, with all eight episodes landing at once.

The Story

At its core: Percy Fraser and Sam Florek, two kids who grow up spending every summer together in Barry’s Bay, Canada. Friendship turns into first love — until a mistake and a long‑buried secret blow everything apart. Years later, Percy returns home and is forced to face the boy she never really got over. Expect lake‑house nostalgia, slow‑burn tension, and the kind of emotional ache YA fans live for.

The Cast

  • Sadie Soverall as Percy
  • Matt Cornett as Sam
  • Michael Bradway as Charlie
  • Plus Elisha Cuthbert, Aurora Perrineau, Abigail Cowen, Joseph Chiu rounding out the Bay.

Author Carley Fortune has been involved since the project’s early development and says she’s “wildly excited” to see Percy and Sam’s story evolve on screen.

Season 2?

Showrunner Amy B. Harris is already teasing more: she wants the series to run “as long as Amazon will have me.”

… if the audience shows up, this love story isn’t stopping at one season.
