The TRENDZ concert, yesterday (Sunday 23rd of November) at ARCH was not just a performance. It was an experience that made us reflect: what does it mean to be a fan in Greece? What does it mean to see your favorite artists look you in the eyes, talk with you, make you feel one with them?
Despite their flight delay, members Hankook, Havit, Leon, Yoonwoo, Eunil, and Yechan (ra.L was absent for personal reasons, but the others honored him with heartfelt words) spent more than four hours with their FRIENDZ. Autographs, photos, fan chats — all with a smile, all with the intention of giving something more. This is not common in Greece. We rarely see such occasions from local artists. What K‑pop offers its fans is something that brings the artist closer to the person who admires them. That alone is powerful, an experience that touches you, as long as it respects the artist’s space, time, and personality. These are the moments we want to see, and if you step into the world of K‑pop, you will live them.
There were moments when the intensity went beyond limits. Excitement, anticipation, the anxiety of living a fan’s dream can lead to exhaustion. When such moments occurred last night, TRENDZ showed both professionalism and genuine humanity. They stopped immediately when needed, tried to help, and showed that above all they care about the person in front of them.
From May to November: A Remarkable Evolution
From May to November, the evolution was striking. Compared to their previous Athens show, TRENDZ proved they had reached another level: stronger vocals, sharper choreography, styling choices that gave aesthetic power to the whole result. The setlist balanced their own songs with covers — from “Payphone” to “Maniac.” These choices reflected their generation, the good pop that shaped them, and built a bridge for those not deeply immersed in K‑pop. At the same time, they danced to other major K‑pop hits of 2025, creating an atmosphere even more electrifying. And of course, their new song “Crime”: a darker, more mature sound that leaves questions. Where will TRENDZ go with this new approach? What does their future promise?
Greece and K‑pop: How Far Can This Relationship Go?
The night was the result of the work of Envol Prod and 5 Oceans Studio, companies that have consistently brought K‑pop to Greece. And the question remains: will we manage to build a scene that supports such events more systematically? Will we see larger venues, more frequent shows?
The audience was bigger than last time, more passionate, more ready to scream and live the moment. And this shows something essential: K‑pop in Athens is a growing force.
Now, all eyes turn to February. XLOV are coming to Athens, brought by the same production teams. A group that has already made waves internationally, with a dynamic that promises to shake things up. This is not just another event; it is a sign that Greece is entering the K‑pop map more intensely.
When fans unite, they can make miracles happen — fill venues, open new doors, and make Greece a permanent stop for K‑pop. Will they?
We would like to thank TRENDZ, and the production teams behind them, for the interviews they gave to SINON and for their performances in our country.
