BLACKPINK’s Lisa is stepping into a new artistic chapter with the release of the trailer for her short film DREAM, starring acclaimed Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi. Unveiled on August 12, the teaser offers a poignant glimpse into a love story marked by longing, memory, and quiet heartbreak.
The film is inspired by “DREAM,” a B-side from Lisa’s debut solo album ALTER EGO, and it’s anything but a typical music video. Instead, it unfolds like a cinematic vignette—soft lighting, wistful glances, and a voiceover from Sakaguchi that reflects on the inevitability of endings:
“All good things must come to an end… Nothing in this world can rewind time.”
Lisa’s expressive performance, paired with Kentaro’s introspective narration, creates a haunting emotional landscape. The trailer hints at a story of separation and nostalgia, with fans already speculating about its deeper meaning and personal connections.
